About the role#
The Accounting Internship at Jewelers Mutual Group offers students practical experience with accounting processes and responsibilities. This is a paid, full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Validate data migration from legacy systems to new agency software.
- Record transactions in the legacy system to verify payment accuracy and close old balances.
- Assist with preparing general journal entries for business transactions.
- Support the reconciliation of payables to ensure accurate bordereaux payments.
- Prepare and review expense reclassification entries.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations by identifying, researching, and resolving discrepancies.
- Process and reconcile claims and survey payables according to financial regulations and company guidelines.
- Document accounting processes and general journal entry procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
