This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry at Pitt Community College. The role is designed for students to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills while discerning a potential call to ministry service. Interns engage in daily spiritual disciplines and participate in a worshipping community.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and execute plans for growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by proclaiming and demonstrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Guide chapter segments in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their appreciation for diverse ethnicities and cultures.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, with a focus on those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization to ministry partners and churches.
- Engage in training and supervision provided by ministry staff.
What you'll need#
- A commitment as a follower of Jesus Christ and an annual affirmation of the Statement of Agreement.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cross-cultural competence, professionalism, and relational maturity.
- Current enrollment in a college program (eligibility varies by year of study).
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Communications, or Sociology.
Location & details#
- Location: Pitt Community College, North Carolina.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. The salary is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team to cover the cost of the position.
- Benefits: Includes health care, retirement savings with matching, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off, subject to eligibility based on hours worked.
