About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry at Pitt Community College. The role is designed for students to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills while discerning a call to service. This is a paid position where compensation is funded through personal fundraising.
What you'll do#
- Work with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and achieve plans for growth.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by finding opportunities to demonstrate and proclaim the Gospel.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, with an emphasis on reaching those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Engage with training and supervision from your ministry director.
- Act as an ambassador for the ministry to churches and individual partners.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You are currently enrolled as a student. Second year students may intern at a two-year college, while third year students and higher may work at a four-year or community college.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate key leadership qualities such as initiative, professionalism, cultural awareness, teamwork, and an eagerness to learn.
- You possess strong communication skills and relational maturity.
