About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year university or community college. Interns will develop their spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills while discerning a potential call to long-term ministry service. This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising, where compensation depends on the individual's ability to secure a donor team.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the organizational mission on campus to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Guide chapters in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for people of every ethnicity and culture.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle in students.
- Engage with supervision and training from staff ministry trainers or directors.
- Serve as an ambassador of the organization to individual ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You are able to annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, professional communication, and relational maturity.
- You show an eagerness to learn and the ability to work effectively within a team.
