About the role#
The Philanthropy Intern joins the US Philanthropy team to support the organization's largest revenue-raising arm. You will assist in connecting donors with programs and inviting them to engage with the work of International Justice Mission. This position reports to the Administrator of Philanthropy.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate projects and assist with event logistics.
- Help plan fundraising campaigns.
- Manage databases and provide administrative support for the department.
- Participate in general administrative tasks for the organization.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate study.
- At least one prior professional internship or significant leadership experience in volunteer, campus, or community organizations.
- Interest and experience in project management, event planning, fundraising, and database management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A mature orthodox Christian faith.
- Ability to commit to 30-40 hours per week during standard business hours.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, or Sociology are relevant to this role.
Location & details#
- This internship runs from January 11 to April 9, 2027.
- The role is based in the District of Columbia. Local candidates may work in a hybrid format (onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays) or fully in-person. Remote work is available for non-local candidates.
- This is an unpaid internship, though a monthly stipend is provided to help defray expenses.
- This is a full-time commitment of 30-40 hours per week.
