About the role#
The Communications Intern will support program and advancement staff across the Africa and Europe region. This position reports to the Regional Director, Communications and Marketing for the Africa and Europe region. This is a volunteer internship role that provides a monthly stipend to help defray expenses.
What you'll do#
- Manage regional community of practice scheduling and meeting follow up.
- Support regional speaker trainings.
- Assist with intranet site management and development.
- Support departmental and general administrative tasks.
- Complete ad hoc creative assignments including writing, copyediting, and graphic design.
- Focus on the improvement of processes.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate study by the start of the internship.
- At least one prior professional internship or significant leadership experience in extracurricular, campus, volunteer, or community-based organizations.
- Experience in project management or process implementation.
- Experience with intranet site management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A mature orthodox Christian faith.
- Graphic design skills are a plus.
Location & details#
- Term: Spring 2027 (January 11 through April 9, 2027).
- Location: District of Columbia, United States.
- Modality: Hybrid (onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays) or remote for non-local candidates.
- Commitment: 20 to 40 hours per week during standard business hours (8:30am to 5:30pm EST).
- Majors: Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Health, Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, or Journalism.
