About the role#
This 10-week paid internship provides undergraduate and graduate students the chance to work with senior leaders in the Environmental Health Services team. You will perform entry-level professional administrative tasks that grow in complexity as you receive on-the-job training. The program includes operational project work, leadership development, and opportunities to shadow staff in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
What you'll do#
- Develop subject matter knowledge and professional skills.
- Coordinate committee activities and meetings.
- Assist department leadership with specific projects and daily functions.
- Prepare and edit documents, presentations, and communications.
- Support the overall goals of your assigned work area.
- Receive guidance and training from an assigned leader.
- Report to an assigned leadership position and complete other duties as requested.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program related to the functional area is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to operate standard office machines like copiers, fax machines, and calculators.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- A valid Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the organization and its insurance carrier, as this role requires the operation of a personal vehicle.
- Prior experience is preferred.
