About the role#
Intact is seeking a Security Analyst for a four-month internship during the Winter 2027 term. You will join our team in Toronto to support cybersecurity risk and compliance efforts. This is a full-time, paid position for students currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
What you'll do#
- Manage intake requests for cybersecurity risk and compliance tasks.
- Maintain the risk register, derogations, and third-party risk assessment activities.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master or Product Owner to prioritize and triage incoming requests.
- Update the repository for baseline documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and reporting of cybersecurity metrics and key indicators.
- Oversee the documentation, implementation, and testing of risk management tools.
- Contribute to security incident response and security initiatives.
- Monitor information security news, trends, and detection methods.
- Recommend improvements for security monitoring and provide advisories to other teams.
- Execute periodic IT security reviews and generate reports for stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Active student status during the internship and plans to return to school the following semester.
- Basic knowledge of information security management principles and practices.
- Understanding of ethical principles related to business and information security.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Relevant work experience in Information Technology is an asset.
- Progress toward certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, GSEC, or GISP is an asset.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Schedule: 35 hours per week from January 4 to April 23, 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
