About the role#
As a DevOps intern at Intact, you will join a team of technology experts working on digital solutions. You will gain professional experience through hands-on projects and collaborate with teams across the organization. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Implement and test code changes to fix defects and improve software products.
- Troubleshoot low to moderate system defects and contribute to remediation plans.
- Assist in developing requirements and provide design recommendations.
- Participate in the discovery phase of projects to create high-level designs.
- Install and configure hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Support system monitoring and perform configuration activities.
- Assist in automating the deployment of solutions as code.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least one prior internship in a similar role.
- An understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Curiosity about continuous delivery pipelines and testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A self-reliant approach and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Availability to work full-time (35 hours per week) during the Winter 2027 term.
- Status as an active student who will return to school in Summer or Fall 2027.
- Bilingualism in English and French for roles based in Montréal.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Toronto, Vancouver, or Montréal.
- You must be eligible to work in Canada, as the company does not provide immigration sponsorship.
