About the role#
The Youth Engagement Intern joins the education and engagement team at Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. You will work 37.5 hours per week at our downtown headquarters to help support agriculture education, networking, and leadership development. This is a paid, part-time summer position running from May 24 to August 22, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with 4-H, FFA, and Collegiate Farm Bureau groups to build and improve programming.
- Create activities that strengthen our industry relations.
- Plan and execute the exhibitor experience at the Indiana State Fair.
- Coordinate Young Farmers and Ag Professionals summer awards and competitions.
- Assist with the delivery of leadership development workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program as a freshman, sophomore, or junior.
- Pursuit of an agricultural degree and a background in agriculture.
- Understanding of youth livestock programming.
- Ability to set clear goals and objectives for your projects.
- A self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented approach to your work.
Location & details#
- The role is based on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Compensation is $17.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
- The office offers free parking, an onsite café, and a fitness center.
