About the role#
IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for a summer 2027 program in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience in structural analysis and design. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects across commercial and institutional markets. The program lasts 10 to 12 weeks and provides exposure to the full project design process.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for buildings.
- Coordinate design schedules and requirements with other disciplines, including architectural, electrical, and mechanical teams.
- Conduct periodic job site observations.
- Document design decisions, client meetings, and project instructions.
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Research project resources and assist with maintaining design notebooks.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Skills in AutoCAD or Building Information Modeling software.
- A strong interest in design consulting.
