About the role#
The Structural Engineering Intern will support our team in the analysis, design, and documentation of industrial projects. You will work under the guidance of licensed structural engineers to gain experience with design codes, industry standards, and engineering software. This role focuses on applying engineering principles to real-world projects, assisting with calculations, developing drawings, and participating in project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Collect information during field inspections.
- Produce and interpret field sketches.
- Convert design sketches and mark-ups into Revit format.
- Coordinate project details with engineers and lead designers.
- Support field investigations as needed.
- Assemble drawing and deliverable packages.
- Follow CAD standards for the firm and our clients.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid driver's license.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work on several projects at once.
