About the role#
ICF is seeking a Summer Intern for the Sustainable Mobility team to assist with employer and community engagement projects. You will work on initiatives primarily for New York State, focusing on promoting sustainable transportation options like micromobility, ridesharing, and microtransit. This is a full-time, 10-week internship beginning in early June and ending in early August.
What you'll do#
- Foster relationships with employers, universities, municipalities, and community organizations.
- Promote sustainable transportation programs through calls, emails, and digital outreach.
- Attend and facilitate virtual and on-site meetings and public events to engage with local residents.
- Prospect for new promotional opportunities and build connections with stakeholders.
- Support team initiatives by identifying and meeting client needs within established guidelines.
- Travel to stakeholder worksites as needed, which may occur up to two times per week.
What you'll need#
- At least 30 credit hours completed in Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- An outgoing personality with comfort speaking to individuals and groups, both in person and virtually.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with independent research and producing high-quality documents.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Understanding of public transportation systems and the business community.
- Capability to organize your own schedule and maintain punctuality for meetings and events.
