About the role#
As a Supply Chain Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the activities that move products from suppliers through manufacturing and to our customers. You will work alongside professionals in supply chain, purchasing, operations, and engineering to ensure materials are available at the right time and cost. This 10-week summer internship provides exposure to the full materials lifecycle, from identifying requirements and placing orders to managing inventory and supplier delivery.
What you'll do#
- Monitor material requirements, inventory levels, open purchase orders, and production needs.
- Assist with purchasing activities by creating, reviewing, and tracking purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance, including lead times, delivery dates, and shortages.
- Support inventory management by analyzing levels and investigating discrepancies.
- Document and improve supply chain processes by creating work instructions and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, or Materials Management.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with numbers and using data to make informed decisions.
- Strong communicator capable of working with internal teams and external suppliers.
