About the role#
As a Retail Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting while working toward your pharmacy degree. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to deliver patient care and support daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service.
- Fill and process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Prepare prescriptions and affix labels to containers.
- Report any medication errors.
- Manage inventory by ordering and stocking merchandise.
- Assist with monthly inventory and quality assurance procedures.
- Help train pharmacy employees.
- Keep the pharmacy and dispensing area clean.
- Maintain the confidentiality of private medical information.
- Work with your team to follow store policies.
- Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Up to six months of similar work experience is preferred.

- Location: Kearney, Nebraska.
- This is a part-time, paid position.
- The role is on-site with a rolling term.
