About the role#
Huitt-Zollars is looking for a motivated intern to join our Dallas office. This part-time role supports interior architectural projects from early concept development through construction administration. You will work alongside architects, interior designers, and project managers to gain experience in professional practice and project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design concepts, programming, space planning, and detailing.
- Create design studies, renderings, and graphic materials to communicate design intent.
- Prepare material finish boards, furniture selections, and presentation materials.
- Modify drawings and models in Revit under supervision.
- Help prepare specifications, meeting minutes, agency applications, and project documentation.
- Participate in site visits and assist with field documentation.
- Support construction phase tasks such as logging submittals and RFIs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in regular meetings.
- Seek feedback to grow your technical and design skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree or higher program in Architecture, Interior Design, or Interior Architecture.
- Basic proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and 3D visualization tools like Enscape, Lumion, or Photoshop.
- Ability to read redlines and update drawings and models accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel to project sites when necessary.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
