Corporate Safety Fall Intern

About the role#

Huitt-Zollars is seeking a Corporate Safety Intern to join the Corporate Human Resources department for the Fall 2026 term. This internship provides exposure to day-to-day health and safety operations, including documentation management, compliance efforts, and program support. This is a paid, in-person position based in Dallas, Texas.

What you'll do#

• Assist with updating safety documents, policies, and training materials.
• Maintain safety training schedules and follow up on missing or incomplete records.
• Process safety paperwork, including incident reports and compliance documentation.
• Support ongoing safety initiatives, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Help with additional HR-related tasks as directed.

What you'll need#

• Current local (North Texas) student enrolled in an accredited safety or equivalent higher education program, such as Public Health, Human Resources, Health Administration, or Environmental Engineering.
• Availability to work on-site in the Dallas office 22–40 hours per week.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction, be resourceful, and handle a variety of tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting for prolonged periods and lifting up to 25 pounds when organizing files.
