About the role#
Huitt-Zollars is looking for a Corporate Safety Intern to join the Human Resources department for the Fall 2026 term. This is an on-site position based in Dallas, Texas. You will work 22-40 hours per week in our office. This role supports our health and safety operations through documentation, compliance, and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Update safety policies, training materials, and related documentation.
- Manage safety training schedules and follow up on incomplete records.
- Process safety paperwork, including incident reports and compliance files.
- Assist with safety audits and regulatory requirements.
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student in the North Texas area studying Public Health, Human Resources, Health Administration, Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent accredited safety program.
- Ability to work on-site in our Dallas office for the duration of the internship.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to take direction, be resourceful, and handle a variety of tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds when organizing files.
