About the role#
Hudson Institute is hiring an intern to support the Public Affairs Department. You will gain insight into press relationships and public event operations while working alongside our experts. This role involves research and administrative tasks to help maximize the visibility of our scholars and their work in media outlets.
What you'll do#
- Market events and conduct outreach to drive attendance.
- Manage RSVPs, guest lists, and attendee communications.
- Assist with the planning and execution of public and private events.
- Greet and interact with high-profile speakers and guests.
- Coordinate event logistics, A/V, and day-of needs.
- Support event communications, including invitations, speaker materials, and post-event follow-up.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Communications, Political Science, Marketing, or International Relations.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
- Experience or interest in event planning and media outreach.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC (On-site).
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Minimum 20 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling.
