About the role#
This is a 10 to 12-week summer internship program at our Aiken, South Carolina facility. You will work on engineering projects that support our manufacturing processes and product design. The role is full-time, on-site, and paid.
What you'll do#
- Optimize rod-clamp designs for silicone injection molds using FEA analysis.
- Develop and test prototypes.
- Evaluate materials, clamp configurations, and closure-force control methods to improve mold performance and process consistency.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks.
- Present your project outcomes to the local management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Basic 3D CAD skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
- Previous experience in metalworking or machining is preferred.

- Compensation: Hourly rates range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour.
