About the role#
The Connectivity Software team at HP IQ builds foundational software for connected experiences. This role involves working at the intersection of systems software, wireless connectivity, and emerging technologies. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop on-device software, contribute to technical designs, and solve system-level problems for next-generation devices.
What you'll do#
- Develop on-device firmware and system software using C, C++, or Python.
- Build and improve software that supports wireless connectivity across various platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to translate technical requirements into functional solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions with the engineering team.
- Contribute to the testing, validation, and documentation of firmware and connectivity features.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python for firmware and system software development.
- Experience implementing wireless connectivity protocols like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Ability to design and implement device-to-device discovery and pairing protocols.
- Experience with machine learning inference optimization on resource-constrained devices.
- Capacity to debug and resolve issues across wireless stacks, operating systems, and applications.
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering program.
