About the role#
HP IQ is looking for an intern to join the Product Integrity & Developer Productivity team. You will work on building tools and systems that improve how software is developed and tested at scale. This role focuses on agentic systems that automate complex workflows, including JIRA triage, root-cause analysis, and quality assurance. You will work alongside our team to design and deploy agents that use pre-trained machine learning models to solve real-world engineering problems.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and iterate on AI-powered tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity.
- Develop intelligent systems to automate software development, testing, debugging, or quality assurance processes.
- Prototype and evaluate new approaches for applying large language models and agentic AI.
- Collaborate with software engineers, machine learning engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Analyze technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of coding fundamentals and comfort with at least one programming language.
- Familiarity with agentic systems, AI tools, or model utilization in applications.
- Ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps and solve them independently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain your reasoning clearly.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly pay range of $45.00-$51.00 per hour.
