About the role#
The HP IQ Security Team is building foundational systems for new computing experiences. We view privacy and security as essential to our product. This internship focuses on innovating at the hardware level while maintaining strong protections for our users.
What you'll do#
- Secure users' devices and data.
- Protect HP IQ's infrastructure.
- Balance strong security measures with intuitive user experiences.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong software engineering skills.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, or Python.
- An interest in privacy, security, and product design.
- Familiarity with security concepts like cryptography, access control, authorization, network security, or software security is a plus.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May/June through August/September).
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
