About the role#
Houlihan Lokey is seeking an intern for the Corporate Development team. This team reports directly to the firm's CEO and CFO and works closely with business line leaders to execute global acquisitions and drive operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to acquisition processes, corporate initiatives, and the preparation of materials for senior management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with a broad range of acquisition-related activities and special projects.
- Support origination efforts, including acquisition target research, industry participant evaluation, and maintenance of the CRM database.
- Aid in post-acquisition performance tracking by analyzing precedent transactions and creating management reports.
- Develop and manage databases, processes, templates, and reports to improve team productivity and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Status as a junior or senior in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Previous professional internship experience.
- A desire to pursue a career in investment banking or finance.
- A basic understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and relevant accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and a working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a self-starting work ethic.
