About the role#
Join the HITT Futures Program as a Commercial Construction Intern. This 10-week program provides hands-on experience in construction management. You will work alongside project managers and superintendents to support project delivery. The program includes mentorship, career development courses, and professional networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support project delivery by assisting project managers and superintendents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers while managing materials and files.
- Handle document control tasks such as submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Help prepare bid packages and evaluate subcontractor bids.
- Review construction drawings and verify site conditions at the jobsite.
- Assist with progress reporting and communication for internal teams and clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related construction field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full 10-week duration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn project-specific software systems.
