About the role#
Hitachi Energy is seeking a community engagement intern to support the team at our Varennes facility during the summer of 2026. This role involves contributing to our corporate culture, supporting community relations, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our community engagement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Capture content and create social media posts for internal and external audiences.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the employer brand.
- Coordinate logistics for employee and community events, including support for sponsorships and meetings with local stakeholders.
- Design infographics for internal communications.
- Assist the community relations manager with daily administrative tasks and event support.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a university program in Administration, Communications, Political Science, or Marketing. Completion of the second year of study is preferred.
- Proficiency in both French and English.
- Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite and popular social media platforms.
- Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess a valid work permit and a personal vehicle.
- Previous internship experience is considered an asset.

- Location: Varennes, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: This is an on-site position at our Varennes facility.
- Schedule: Full-time, 30 hours per week. Candidates must be open to working atypical hours during events.
