About the role#
As an Intern Chemist at HF Sinclair, you will support the Manufacturing Technology Department by handling routine laboratory assignments. You will work under close supervision to gain hands-on experience with laboratory programs and operations in a refinery environment.
What you'll do#
- Collect, prepare, and test samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Perform routine laboratory testing and document results.
- Assist with reviewing laboratory records and verifying testing documentation.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Support other departments with sampling, testing, and compliance monitoring.
- Prepare and ship samples designated as hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records while following safety, quality, and operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Completed coursework toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Chemistry concepts and the ability to apply them analytically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with statistical data analysis.
- Ability to stay informed about new technological developments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb up to 200 ft, and wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
