About the role#
Hexagon is looking for an intern to join the Aerospace and Defence team in Calgary. You will work alongside engineers to investigate and test sensor fusion positioning technologies. This is a full-time, on-site role for a 12-month term starting in May 2026.
What you'll do#
- Integrate and use various sensors.
- Set up physical tests, collect data, and assist in analysis.
- Build graphing or analysis tools.
- Develop and test features within defence firmware.
- Write test reports and create presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Electrical, Geomatics, or Computer Engineering program.
- Completion of 3rd year of studies before the start date.
- Registration in an Engineering Internship or Co-op program.
- Ability to commit to a 12-month work term.
- Strong skills in debugging and problem solving.
- Familiarity with C++, Matlab, Python, or scripting languages is helpful.
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators is an asset.

- This position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
- The work term runs from May 4, 2026, to May 3, 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
