About the role#
As a PhD Research Intern, you will perform research, analytical, and technical work to support our project goals. You will work under the guidance of experienced researchers and engineers to develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and strategic initiatives. This role is an opportunity to apply your academic background to real-world technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Investigate emerging research areas and translate conceptual ideas into working prototypes.
- Design and implement research methodologies, including data collection and analysis.
- Develop and implement algorithms and models using techniques like deep learning, natural language processing, and advanced analytics.
- Partner with researchers, engineers, and product managers to align research initiatives with product vision.
- Present research progress, findings, and technical insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of research procedures and prepare reports summarizing your outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Relevant experience in research, programming, data analysis, or applied projects.
- Strong academic background and a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with data analysis tools and statistical analysis software.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work toward strict deadlines.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and a sense of urgency.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Milpitas, California.
- The internship term is rolling.
