    About the role#

    This Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op position offers an immersive, project-based experience in operations engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects, gaining hands-on exposure to medical device manufacturing. This role is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed for students who want to apply academic engineering concepts to production and process improvement challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide support for process and tooling improvements on new and existing products.
    • Use LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to improve capability, repeatability, quality, and cost.
    • Assist with equipment identification, procurement, installation qualification, documentation, and training.
    • Partner with cross-functional groups to scale processes like laser welding, coil winding, and machining.
    • Support operations and quality teams with root cause analysis, nonconformance investigations, data trending, and customer correlation activities.
    • Participate in team meetings and manage changing priorities as they arise.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Ability to work full-time on-site for the duration of the co-op.
    • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on Excel.
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • A drive to learn about the real-world application of engineering concepts.
