About the role#
The Operations Quality Engineer Co-Op is a project-focused role supporting production quality, statistical analysis, and nonconformance resolution. You will work within cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with established processes while driving continuous improvement. This position offers hands-on experience in the medical device manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to engineering teams across various product lifecycle stages.
- Assist with inspection, correlation, characterization, DOE, PFMEA, qualification, GR&R, and data analysis.
- Manage nonconforming material and product processes, including investigation and corrective actions.
- Use statistical tools to monitor product performance and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Support system implementation and improvements, including SPC/SQS software.
- Participate in operations and quality team meetings.
- Adapt to changing priorities as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for the duration of the co-op.
- Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting standards.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Desire to apply academic engineering concepts to real-world projects.

- Location: St. Paul, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
