About the role#
The Product Engineer Co-Op provides hands-on support for the design and development of interventional medical devices. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects involving guide catheters, delivery systems, guidewires, and neuromodulation leads. This role offers exposure to the regulated medical device industry, including training on quality systems and participation in product development team activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide general support to design and development projects for new medical devices.
- Assist with project scope items and documentation required for regulatory compliance.
- Develop test methods to characterize the performance of new designs.
- Execute testing and complete quality deliverables to ensure design outputs meet requirements.
- Generate engineering investigation reports based on gathered test data.
- Participate in team meetings and activities while responding to changing project priorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program for Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A drive to apply academic engineering concepts to real-world scenarios.
