About the role#
This Fellowship position provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program. Fellows provide one-on-one ABA behavior interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors. The program allows participants to complete unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB to meet requirements for the BCBA exam. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving by guiding clients toward safe behaviors.
- Gradually reduce prompts to promote independent responses.
- Increase the occurrence of desirable behaviors using positive reinforcement.
- Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate proactively with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments, such as functional analyses and stimulus preference assessments.
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Research relevant literature and write or revise behavior-analytic programs.
- Maintain the BACB Ethical Compliance Code and work with a BCBA mentor on guided practice.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification program. Qualifying programs must have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% or higher for 3 consecutive years or hold ABAI/APBA accreditation.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment if not already certified.
- Requirement to be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with families and recording session notes.
- Majors considered include Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Human Resources, Sociology, or Criminal Justice.
