About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester located in Roseville, California. This role provides students with hands-on experience in a corporate fitness center environment, focusing on member engagement, program development, and fitness assessment.
What you'll do#
- Provide supervision and fitness and wellness guidance to facility members.
- Perform fitness evaluations, summarize test data, and assist in prescribing exercise programs.
- Assist in compiling participation data and preparing necessary reports.
- Develop and implement at least one special program or fitness event.
- Contribute to the marketing of wellness programs through various channels.
- Support fitness staff with daily office duties and attend scheduled meetings.
- Instruct special fitness programs and gain experience through job shadowing and team teaching.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior undergraduate or a Master's student in Kinesiology, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- Personal Training or Group Exercise certification is preferred.
