About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a fitness and wellness setting. The role is designed to support students completing their university internship requirements by offering exposure to corporate, community, or hospital-based facility operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide supervision and wellness guidance for facility members.
- Perform fitness evaluations and prescribe cardiovascular and strength exercise programs.
- Develop and implement special programs or events.
- Contribute to the marketing of fitness and wellness programs through various channels.
- Assist in the coordination of health and wellness programming.
- Job shadow staff, assist with daily office duties, and attend scheduled meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior level Bachelor's or Master's student.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Kinesiology, Health Administration, Public Health, or Real Estate.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and interact with members.
- Eligibility to complete university internship requirements.
- Optional: Personal Training or Group Exercise certification.
