About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate, community, or hospital-based fitness settings. You will gain exposure to professional wellness operations while completing your university internship requirement. This is a paid, full-time position for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Provide supervision and wellness guidance for facility members.
- Perform fitness evaluations and prescribe cardiovascular and strength exercise programs.
- Develop and implement special programs or events.
- Contribute to the marketing of fitness and wellness programs through various channels.
- Assist in the coordination of health and wellness programming.
- Support staff with daily office duties and attend scheduled meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior level Bachelor's or Master's student.
- Academic background in Kinesiology, Health Administration, Public Health, or Real Estate.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and interact with members.
- Eligibility to complete your university internship requirement.
- Personal Training or Group Exercise certification is preferred but not required.
