About the role#
This is a part-time, temporary internship lasting 12 to 16 weeks. You will work 12 hours per week under the supervision of the leadership team in Program Performance and Analytics. You will assist in the design, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence models to solve complex business problems. This role sits at the intersection of data science, machine learning, and software engineering.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms.
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets for model training.
- Select appropriate machine learning algorithms for specific tasks.
- Integrate AI models into existing systems or build new ones.
- Optimize models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Deploy models into production and monitor their performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers.
- Document AI models, processes, and systems.
- Stay current with developments in AI and machine learning.
- Ensure all models are developed and deployed ethically.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university.
- Preferred fields of study include Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with Gen AI/ML models, API development, and SDKs.
- Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Experience with NLP techniques, Prompt Engineering, and LLMs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Awareness of ethical considerations in AI.
- Reliable, high-speed internet access.
