About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in tax services. You will join our team for the Winter 2027 term to support client engagements and develop your technical skills in a professional accounting environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Create related income tax work papers.
- Manage projects to meet engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
- Learn and use firm tax preparation software to support client service quality.
- Perform self-reviews of your work.
- Conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
- Build relationships with firm professionals and participate in team training and activities.
- Work with a designated buddy and performance manager to grow your technical and soft skills.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or taxation between May 2027 and June 2028.
- You can work 30 to 40+ hours per week from mid-January through mid-April.
- Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
- Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
- Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills including sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and take initiative.
- High attention to detail and a team-oriented approach.
