About the role#
We are looking for Design Research Interns to join our team in Holland, Michigan for the summer of 2027. This is a 12-week paid program where you will work on-site at our corporate headquarters. You will join a cohort of interns to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing and business environment. During the program, you will attend NeoCon to observe industry trends and participate in workshops focused on networking, public speaking, and using AI tools.
What you'll do#
- Assist with various research projects.
- Explore AI integration for designers.
- Research workspaces and specific elements within work settings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attend professional development workshops and company social events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial Design, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Interior Design, Graphic or Communication design, Design Research, or Human Factors Engineering.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States.
- Preferred: A GPA of 2.95 or higher.
- Preferred: Knowledge of user research methods, such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and observational techniques.
- Preferred: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and data visualization tools.
- Preferred: Experience with prior employment or extra-curricular activities.

- The internship runs from May 2027 to August 2027.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
