About the role#
As a Technical Designer Intern, you will act as a bridge between the design and engineering teams. You will support the game modes team by participating in the features and systems validation process. Working under the Technical Level Design Director, you will help establish guidelines and rules for using game features and systems effectively.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain in-game tools and debug tools for designers.
- Collaborate with the programming team to improve existing tools and build new ones.
- Develop a rational level design checklist to ensure a high-quality in-game experience.
- Communicate technical requirements to the level design team.
- Implement data validation strategies, such as automated testing and reporting.
- Optimize game systems and features.
- Clean up error logs and outdated data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program focused on programming, game design, or technical design.
- Experience with scripting or programming.
- Previous internship experience is an advantage.
