    About the role#

    The Advisory business practice is the management consulting arm of Hatch. We help clients in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors solve complex business problems by combining technical, social, environmental, and business expertise. As an Advisory Analyst, you will assist in consulting engagements by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform client decisions. This is a paid position based in our Chicago office.

    What you'll do#

    • Deconstruct high-level information to identify fundamental drivers and aggregate details for a holistic view.
    • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile any conflicts.
    • Develop or assist in the preparation of cost models, financial models, and business cases.
    • Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to analyze information needs and tradeoffs.
    • Deliver written reports, presentations, and verbal updates.
    • Collate information using data from existing sources, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions.
    • Prepare scenarios to assist analysts and consultants.
    • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and provide administrative support as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an Engineering, Science, Business, Commerce, or Economics program at an accredited university.
    • Completion of at least two years of your degree program.
    • Excellent academic standing.
    • Strong numerical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
    • A good understanding of engineering or business fundamentals.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team.
    • Self-motivation and good organizational skills.
    • Prior work experience, co-op experience, or extracurricular involvement are considered assets.

    • Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring 2027.
    • Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour.
