About the role#
Hatch is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Infrastructure group in Houston. This role focuses on rail and transit projects. You will work on-site to support senior engineers and designers on complex infrastructure assignments. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Organize and collaborate with technical groups to deliver project requirements.
- Prepare civil engineering analyses, including track alignments, cost estimates, design reports, and technical specifications.
- Support the development of models and drawings based on design notes.
- Assist with business development tasks, such as preparing proposals and estimating deliverables.
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers on project tasks.
- Participate in internal and external training activities.
- Provide general support to senior staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in civil engineering.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site, including at remote locations.
- Submission of an official or unofficial transcript with your application.
