About the role#
KPFF Consulting Engineers hires civil engineering students to join project teams in our Austin office. This is a paid, full-time internship that runs on a rolling basis. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in the field and the office.
What you'll do#
- Participate in project teams to support ongoing engineering work.
- Visit job sites to inspect existing conditions.
- Document potential scope of work for various projects.
- Apply established engineering principles to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or above, including students pursuing a master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to visit job sites for inspections and documentation.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods while working at a computer.
- Capacity to use sound judgment and independent decision making to apply engineering principles.
