About the role#
The Operations Intern will support Hanes Companies by assisting with process improvement, operational analysis, and hands-on projects at our facility. This role focuses on identifying downtime drivers, improving workspace organization, and supporting machine-level accuracy. You will gain exposure to operations, continuous improvement, and workflow optimization within a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify top downtime drivers by machine group or department and determine root causes to recommend improvement actions.
- Review customer programs with complex special instructions and map current-state processes.
- Support machine-level 6S improvements, including workspace organization and labeling.
- Conduct warehouse time studies to support new code layout planning.
- Review and update wrap files for machines to improve the accuracy of standards.
- Identify top downtime codes and help create action plans for improvement.

- We are seeking students pursuing degrees in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Conover, North Carolina.
- The term for this position is Summer 2026.
