About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering intern to join our Water Resources team in Little Rock for the summer of 2027. You will work on drainage and stormwater analysis while supporting hydrology and hydraulic modeling projects. This is a full-time, paid position running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
- Perform CAD drafting work.
- Conduct calculations and analysis for various design projects.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program for Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent degree.
- Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship building, and organizational skills.
- A self-motivated approach to work.
Location & details#
- Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8a to 5p.
- Modality: On-site.
