About the role#
Halff is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Public Works and Land Development team in San Antonio. You will work on design and plan production for public and private infrastructure projects. This is a paid, part-time position scheduled for 12 to 24 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the production of plans and specifications under the supervision of a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training.
- Perform CAD drafting using AutoCad or MicroStation.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Prepare permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work well within a team.
- Self-motivated work ethic.
