About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program designed to provide hands-on consulting experience. You will work directly with teams to support clients including states, counties, cities, non-profits, and multi-lateral organizations. You will be paired with a buddy to help navigate the firm and your project work. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Staff on active Guidehouse projects and provide real-time deliverables for clients.
- Translate strategy into action for government clients across areas like economic development, sustainability, disaster recovery, and organizational strategy.
- Participate in learning and development sessions, including both e-learning and instructor-led training.
- Engage in performance management, including setting goals and participating in mid-point and final evaluations.
- Attend networking events, social activities, and speaker series.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited graduate or undergraduate degree program, with a graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Availability for a Summer 2027 start date.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Academic or project background in fields such as business, economics, computer science, engineering, or public policy.
- Experience or interest in state and local government topics like urban planning, housing, transportation, justice, or administration.
- Familiarity with consulting skills such as project management, financial modeling, operational modeling, and stakeholder management.
