About the role#
This internship provides a consulting experience within the Federal Health Advisory practice. You will work on real-world projects for federal health and human services agencies, including the CDC, FDA, and NIH. The program runs for 10 weeks during Summer 2027, starting June 7 and ending August 13. You will be paired with a buddy to help you navigate the firm and participate in learning sessions, speaker series, and collaborative group projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of client deliverables and internal or client presentations.
- Manage day-to-day project logistics and support tasks.
- Help clients improve business processes, internal controls, operating efficiency, transparency, and performance management.
- Address significant challenges faced by federal clients.
- Interact with client senior management.
- Participate in team meetings and client-facing discussions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program through Fall 2027, with a graduation date by Summer 2028.
- Ability to work on-site in the Washington, D.C. or Atlanta metro areas.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher level of federal security clearance.
- A degree concentration in Accounting, Business, Communications, Economics, Finance, Health Policy, Management/Information Systems, Public Health, Public Policy, or related STEM fields is preferred.
- Previous internship or work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal or commercial healthcare industries, project management principles, or business analytics software like SAS, R, Python, or SQL is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce technical or non-technical written work and graphical presentations.
