About the role#
As a Summer Intern in the Healthcare Real Estate Solutions group, you will join a project team focused on advising health systems on capital and real estate investments. You will help turn complex data into insights that support major strategic decisions. This role involves building models, creating visualizations, and communicating findings to help healthcare leaders act on their goals.
What you'll do#
- Collect, integrate, clean, and validate large datasets from clinical, financial, operational, and market sources.
- Develop financial and operational analyses, including revenue, cost, margin, utilization, and performance trends.
- Analyze healthcare metrics such as patient volumes, length of stay, service lines, case mix, and facility utilization.
- Assist in creating financial models, business cases, ROI analyses, demand forecasts, and other decision-support tools.
- Create clear charts, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
- Conduct research, document assumptions and methodologies, perform quality-control reviews, and support the preparation of client deliverables.
- Collaborate with project team members and provide responsive client service.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028 with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Access, or statistical packages like R, SAS, or SPSS is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).

- Location: Tennessee, United States.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $40 to $50 per hour.
- Requirements: Willingness to travel based on project needs and work overtime as requested.
