About the role#
This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in structural design and prototyping. You will work with our design team, sales staff, and customers to create packaging that meets specific needs. You will learn about paperboard materials, carton layouts, and how to conceptualize 3D designs in a flat format. We offer flexible, part-time hours to fit your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the design team on daily tasks.
- Use CAD systems to restore designs and plot them on the CAD table.
- Assist with packaging design projects.
- Operate the sample maker to cut out prototypes.
- Work across different teams to support projects involving packaging materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Technical degree program in a related field.
- A solid grasp of geometry and mathematics to calculate angles and lines for multi-sided shapes.
- Proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
