Job Description: Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is seeking an Analytics Intern for the 2027 Summer Internship Program. This program is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. Responsibilities may include:
Gaining corporate experience and developing new skills through on-the-job training and exposure to preparation of statistical reports and the foundations of analytics: Descriptive, Predictive, Prescriptive. Assisting with the preparation of on-going projects and task teams. Gathering and performing analysis on large amounts of data to provide insight and valuable information to the operations team, to enable informed business decisions. Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed. Completing any other assigned projects or tasks as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field, with some STEM-adjacent completed coursework and a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater. Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, random trivia, and Outlook.
