About the role#
As an IT Audit Assurance Intern, you will join our engagement teams to provide IT audit services to clients. You will work alongside Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives to assess information systems controls and support financial statement audits. This role involves applying your knowledge of IT trends to identify security and risk management issues while maintaining professional rapport with our clients.
What you'll do#
- Test and assess information systems control review engagements.
- Interact with client management to resolve problems and manage expectations.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
- Apply current IT knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Participate in recruiting efforts and other business development activities.
- Meet or exceed IT Assurance metrics, including billable hours and time reporting.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Required information security experience or training.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Previous experience in public accounting or delivering controls-based services is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $40 per hour.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least three days per week in-person at a firm office or client site.
- Travel: Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
