About the role#
Grande Cheese Company is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Intern for Summer 2027. This role offers hands-on experience in procurement, supplier relationship management, and data analysis. You will work alongside professionals on projects such as supplier scorecard development, contract refreshes, and process automation. You will also participate in company events, including farm and facility tours, networking sessions, and community volunteer opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to identify cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage purchase orders, collect documentation, and handle supplier information.
- Generate reports and maintain risk assessment records and supplier performance metrics.
- Work within ERP systems, including testing new features and enhancements.
- Partner with Facility Buyers to support maintenance, repair, and operations purchasing.
- Collaborate with teams across operations, finance, quality, and logistics.
- Participate in supplier visits and audits to build direct industry experience.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of statistics.
- Preferred experience includes involvement in campus organizations, volunteer work, or off-campus employment.
